History and Growth of Area Trailer Sales and Rentals
Founded in 1998, Amarillo Thermo King, Inc. began selling and renting trailers to local customers in Amarillo, Texas. In 2001, we rebranded to Amarillo Trailer Sales and Rentals, Inc. Our expansion continued with the opening of our Lubbock location in 2009 and our Odessa location in 2012. This growth prompted a broader name, leading to our current name, Area Trailer Sales and Rentals.
Expanding Our Reach
As our business grew, so did the areas we cover. With locations in Amarillo, Lubbock, and Odessa, ATSR now serves the Texas Panhandle, South Plains, Permian Basin, and beyond. Thanks to social media, we have sold trailers throughout the United States. This expansion has made Area Trailer Sales and Rentals one of the largest trailer dealerships in the region. Our rental fleet has grown from a single storage trailer in 1988 to over 500 rental trailers. Available at all locations, our rental trailers include Refrigerated, Dry Vans, Belly Dumps, Heavy Haul RGN’s, Flatbeds, Drop Decks, Equipment Haulers, Oil & Water Tankers, and various Agricultural trailers.
